Designed by Fred Shepherd, Built by White Brothers; one of the best shipyards of the time; and launched in 1909. Owl is very much a classic yacht from Edwardian times. The many successive owners in her long life have done well to maintain her origins, especially on deck. Her ketch rig enables her to be sailed effectively with a small crew. She is moreover a sea kindly vessel that has crossed the Atlantic; very balanced and comfortable. While substantially authentic she is however no mere museum piece but a living being which can now be enjoyed by renting her in Port d’Andratx, Mallorca.
Owl departs Port Andratx from her swinging mooring around 10am; guests are picked up from the meeting point with Owlet her classic wooden tender with an environmentally friendly electric outboard engine.
