Villa Features
Finca Binilo, also known as Binicalsitx, is a restored Menorcan farmhouse of around 250 years, set in 160 acres of rewilded farmland a short drive south of Alaior, in the centre of Menorca. The main house sleeps twelve across six bedrooms and five bathrooms, and a two-bedroom annexe completed in 2024 adds room for four more, bringing the estate to sixteen guests in eight bedrooms.
The main house has three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, two of them with ceiling fans as well as air conditioning, a twin room with a shared shower room, and two interconnecting twin rooms that share an en-suite between them, an arrangement that works for families travelling with children. The annexe holds two double bedrooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom, plus its own open-plan living, dining and kitchen area and a private terrace.
Outside there is a 13 by 6 metre saline swimming pool and a private tennis court, with terraces for eating and sitting out. Wi-Fi covers the property and a Sonos system carries music through the house and the terraces.
The owners restored the estate with its environmental impact in mind. Greywater is stored underground and used for irrigation, hot water is solar powered, and a purification system supplies drinking water so guests do not depend on bottled plastic. The land is worked without pesticides and managed as a nature reserve, which keeps habitat for native wildlife including tortoises and red kites.

Alaior sits at the centre of Menorca, a town founded in 1304 that still lives from cheese, shoemaking and the farmland around it.
Alaior sits at the centre of Menorca. The town was established in 1304, when James II of Majorca bought the estate of Ihalor, and it grew around the church of Santa Eulalia; it is still one of the island’s centres of cheesemaking and shoemaking, and its old quarter of pale stone climbs a low hill above the plain.
The countryside between the finca and the sea is the archaeological heart of the island. Torre d’en Galmés, one of the largest Talayotic settlements in the Balearics, lies between Alaior and the coast at Son Bou and belongs to Menorca Talayótica, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2023. The nearest beaches are the long sand at Son Bou and the cliffs and cove of Cala en Porter.
For guests this makes a practical base. The south coast is a short drive away, Maó is about twelve kilometres east, and the main road across Menorca passes by the town, so the rest of the island stays within reach while the estate itself remains quiet and rural.

The price of the rent includes the check out cleaning, and if rental longer than 10 days a change of bed linen and towels in the middle of the stay.
